Cemetery Records, Cramahe Township Personal conversation with Jim Walker and Marg Graham-Trottman at breakfast in Brighton, Ontario on 28 July 2000. (Jim recalled for me that Edward Van Wicklin, his grandfather, had four sons and a daughter--Lewis G., Gordon, Elsie Pearl, Arthur, and David. When asked about the "James" who appears in the 1901 census he at first did not recall him; however, he then recalled hearing of a "brother" that went to California in search of gold. He also recalls an "Uncle Bob" who would almost certainly be Edward^8's brother, Robert.) David used to live on the property adjacent to the Cramahe South Elementary School and was a school trustee there for many years. The property for the elementary school was formerly Van Wicklin property and donated for the school by Edward^8 Van Wicklin.
